Bunchuai and Nikom play for Thailand U16s in Malaysia

May 2012, two of our HTF boys Nikom (Mayer) and Bunchuai (Sombatraksa) are represented Thailand's U-16 cricket team in the regions U-16 Elite cup, played in Malaysia. Nikom has had already had a taste of International cricket representing Thailand cricket U-14's in April 2011.

The first game against Singapore all rounder Nikom was awarded the player of the match, opening the bowling he took 5 for 25 in his 8 overs as Singapore was bowled out for 81 in reply to Thailand's 90 all out. He batted at No. 8 which is too low for the quality of his batting and finished with 10 not out, unfortunately Bunchuai was run out for 4 going in at No.4 but conceded no byes and took a catch to help Nikom take his 5th wicket.

Thailand finished 5th in the competition but both boys did well, Nikom took 3 for 34 against Bahrain to go with his 5 for 25 v Singapore.

Bunchuai, top scored for Thailand against Hong Kong with 14 from 21 balls in a 16 over a side game and took 2 catches, he also top scored with 23 off 27 balls with 5 fours in the game against Bahrain, yet again he took 2 catches behind the stumps, a game which saw Thailand win the 5th/6th play off.
