Loose Cannons fire to seal a convincing victory

Loose Cannons 169/5

George Pollard 33 retired, Matt Dickinson 1/23

Cenataurs 71

George Pollard 2/8

Loose Cannons
won by 98 runs

The Loose Cannons had chance to make amends on Sunday morning when the two sides faced each other again in a 15 over game. A very heavy storm passed through in the morning in areas of Chiang Mai and Lamphun, but Mae Rim and Prem were totally unaffected, so not quite believing any play would be possible the teams arrived later than planned only to find Prem in pristine condition.

Once play was underway, the Loose Cannons batting this time got into top gear and Centaurs’ bowlers were smashed to all corners. A retirement of 30 runs for a batsman was agreed beforehand and four players hit maximums resulting in a massive total of 169 for 5. The Cenataurs’ response never got off the ground and a succession of wickets left the chasing side well short and they were skittled for 71 in the 14th over to bring a satisfying win for the Loose Cannons by 98 runs.
