There is only a month to go before the start of the new cricket season with Lanna CC looking for new players to take on the might of CMCC and the Thai players from Lamphun. There is also hope of a new team being formed by students who are at university in Chiang Mai this year.
The Lanna team have just returned from pre-season training at the Beach Cricket in Koh Chang under the musical direction of Roddy Lorimer on trumpet. The team can be proud of a fifth-place finish in a 12-team tournament and the kids from Lamphun came third in a tournament again won by the mighty Pattaya CC.
All players and supporters of Lanna CC are gathering together at UN Irish Pub on Saturday 7th October at 6pm to hold the AGM and to look forward to the new season.
